Mammal Monday 43: horny hart

May I introduce one of the numerous cervid species kept in the Berlin zoos, a Barasingha (Rucervus duvauceli). The Berlin Zoo has about 8 females and one stag, and at this time of year they abandon their usual calm behaviour for a little excitement……

This time he didn’t manage to get the doe interested. But I am sure he didn#t give up that easily.
