Corvids are even cooler than you think!

Yeah, I’m a corvid fan, as any regular reader of this blog would know if there were any ;) Now I stumbled across a PLOS ONE article that’s just too good not to mention here:

Wow, just wow: crows apparently have a sense of “fairness”, or at least (a more cautious interpretation by yours truly) of “market value” – and if they do not get the fair market value for their “goods” they get pissed at you.

    That’s why they ‘steal’ food from those bums at the zoo… it’s like taking bottled beer from welfare recipients… it’s only fair!!!
