Xmas in August: the Thermopolis Archaeopteryx in HR

Do I have a nice surprise for you…… here’s a huge image of the Thermopolis Archaeopteryx specimen. And if I say huge, I mean huge at 11.2 MB – click through for full size. And this is a JPG version, too – yell in comments or email me if you want it as a PNG.

EDIT: the huge one is here – WordPress is not able to handle it otherwise. Here’s a smaller sized preview:

But beware – it is a mosaic image from 34 individual photographs, so do not measure anything on it! You can have the photos, too (email me!).

Maybe Dave Hone wants to link to this from his Archaeopteryx post list post?
