Wolves at Wildpark Tambach

I’ve shown you the lynxes, so now after the felid predator it is time for more of the canid predator: Canis lupus lupus, the Eurasian wolf! Previous pics are here.


The pups were just old enough to look like serious animals when we visited, but still small enough to be cute.





Yeah, eating grass, stinging nettles, whatnot. At least one adult wolf tried to look the mean killer they are so often claimed to be.


well, yeah. Nice try.

It was fun to watch the wolves at the little pond they have. I especially liked this one trying to dig a little hole in the water…..


… then squatting down to shit in it!
